We are thrilled to announce the opening of registration for the 2024 Spring Recreational Baseball & Softball season at Watchung Hills Baseball and Softball Association (WHBSA). Join us in providing your children, aged 4-15, with an opportunity to participate in our leagues, fostering new friendships, team spirit, and valuable sportsmanship skills while enjoying the thrill of playing baseball and softball.

League Information:
Our 2024 season is set to commence in early April and conclude in mid-June.


Baseball Divisions with expected game days:
For baseball, players from Warren and Watchung will be combined at all divisions.

Prek T-Ball (Pre-K Boys & Girls)

    • Thursdays @ 5pm
    • Saturday mornings

Kindergarten T-Ball (Kindergarten Boys & Girls)

    • Thursdays @ 6pm
    • Saturday afternoons (12 noon or 1pm)

Rookie (1st & 2nd Grade – Coach Pitch)

    • Tuesdays @ 6 pm
    • Saturday afternoons (1 pm or 2 pm)

AA Minors (2nd & 3rd Grade – Kid & Coach Pitch)

    • Mondays or Wednesdays @ 6pm
    • Fridays @ 6pm

AAA Minors (3rd & 4th Grade – Kid Pitch)

    • Thursdays or Tuesdays @ 6pm
    • Saturday mornings

Majors (5th & 6th Grade – Kid Pitch)

    • Mondays or Wednesdays
    • Fridays

Seniors (7th to 9th Grade – Kid Pitch)

    • TBD based on player turnout (Sandlot or Rec League)

Pigtails (K & 1st Grade – Coach Pitch)

    • Fridays @ 6pm
    • Saturdays @ 1pm

Minors (2nd & 3rd Grade – Kid & Coach Pitch)

    • Mondays/Wednesdays @ 6pm
    • Saturdays

Majors (4th & 5th Grade – Kid Pitch)

    • Tuesdays/Wednesdays @ 6pm
    • Saturdays

Seniors (6th to 8th Grade – Kid Pitch)

    • Tuesdays/Thursdays @ 7:30 or 8pm
    • Saturday afternoons

 


Important Note

  • Placement on a team will only be guaranteed for players who are registered by February 28th. Players who register during the “Last Chance Registration” period may be placed on a waitlist.
  • Team formation: Minor leagues and above will form teams via drafts. Younger leagues will have team rosters set by league commissioners.
  • Requests for player placement on specific teams, with specific coaches, or with other children cannot be guaranteed
  • Requests to have a player participate in WHBSA Rec leagues outside of his/her age level must be submitted in writing and addressed to the league commissioner at the time of registration. The player must attend evaluations and qualify for play at a higher level. The league commissioner must approve the final placement.
  • All baseball players will receive a team shirt and hat from WHBSA. Players must provide their own batting helmet, glove, gray baseball pants, cleats, and protective cup. Chest protectors are encouraged in all leagues.
  • All softball players will receive a team shirt & socks from WHBSA. Players must provide their own batting helmet with a face guard, fielding face mask, glove, gray softball pants, and cleats. Chest protectors are encouraged in all leagues.
  • While we endeavor to provide the most accurate and correct information possible, there is always the possibility of typographical errors, omissions, misprints, and other inaccuracies on or in these forms and applications. WHBSA reserves the sole and exclusive right to verbally or in writing, at its discretion, correct, restate, change, modify, or withdraw this information.
